All Are Welcome
This is World Mission Sunday weekend!
We think about how we want to welcome people to our faith! We know that sometimes this can be more difficult than we might think. Those of us who have been at our parish, for example, might feel right at home, and sometimes we can forget to be welcoming to newcomers…
But we are encouraged to remember that “all are welcome” in our faith communities! This means that we greet everyone with kindness and enthusiasm as we see people coming to be a part of our faith!
I am so happy when I hear that people feel welcomed to our parish! It has let me know that we are doing what God has asked of us, to welcome the stranger and get to know those who are new.
We pray for all missionaries around the world this weekend, but we also pray that we can be missionaries in our own situation, always welcoming others in our faith community!
And let us continue to pray for one another.
