"The Grace of God Sustained Him"
My thanks to all who continue to support our parish in this very difficult time. The Faith, Hope and Courage campaign is enabling us to do this. The dedication of our parishioners in time, talent and treasure makes all the difference!
We know that the Apostle Peter had a special place among the followers of Jesus. He was recognized as the leader of the Apostles. Our whole idea of the Pope in Rome being a successor of St. Peter is key to our worldwide outreach in ministry!
St. Peter is an example of faith in the scriptures for all of us. Yes, he had his faults, as we all do, but the grace of God sustained him. He even died as a martyr in Rome, and that his why his role in our faith is so important. We continue to pray all the time for Pope Francis and his work in the name of Jesus Christ in the midst of the world.
This weekend, let’s remember all the ways in which we try to be faithful disciples in the work of the Church for all people.
And let us continue to pray for one another.
