We are quickly approaching the end of the Church year. Next weekend we celebrate the Feast of Christ the King, and then Advent will begin! Before we know it, Christmas will be here, and then the New Year 2020!
This coming Friday, November 22, we honor St. Cecilia in the calendar of saints in the Church. We know that our parish is dedicated to her. St. Cecilia was a great person of faith. Even when her family insisted that she be married, she remained true to Christ in that marriage. In fact, she converted her husband Valerian to the faith. They both died as martyrs, and their example of dedication comes down to us through the centuries. May St. Cecilia continue to bless and guide our parish.
My thanks to so many people who have shown their support for our parish through the 2019 Annual Pastoral Appeal (APA). We are working on achieving our goal for this year. May God bless all of you for your continued generosity of time, talent and treasure!
And let us continue to pray for one another.
