This weekend, in a special way, we are observing Catholic Schools Week (see below). We are blessed to have not only fine religious and faith formation ministries here at St. Cecelia Parish, but we also have access to fine Catholic schools in our area. In a particular way, St. Cecelia Interparochial School and Clearwater Central Catholic High School provide wonderful opportunities for the education of our young people. This is the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord. We are reminded of how Jesus, being baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist, now begins his earthly ministry. This weekend we celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany. This term means “the Manifestation” of the Lord Jesus Christ. We recount how the Magi sought out the newborn King. We too seek the Lord in so many ways in our lives. Jesus is made manifest to the world. The Magi represent all people who seek God’s truth and love.
