The Sacrament of Reconciliation

We all know how we value the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Sometimes we referto this sacrament as the Sacrament of Penance or we just call it “Confession”. This is the way that the Church gives us  to acknowledge our sins, and then to know the power of God’s forgiveness through Christ in our lives.

What this sacrament also teaches us is that we must be forgiving towards others. We can only rejoice in the forgiving power of God if we are then willing to share that forgiveness with those around us. Whenever we hold a grudge or fail to be merciful to another person, we are missing the point!

As we continue to strive to “Courageously Live the Gospel”, let’s encourage one another to be a truly forgiving and reconciled people, as best we can.

And let us continue to pray for one another.
