This Sunday is National Grandparents Day. We honor all grandparents and give thanks to God for all they do for their grandchildren and other family members. Family relationships are so important. They are the primary way, for example, that the faith is passed on in many circumstances. The prayers and example of dedicated grandparents can have a tremendous effect. Congratulations and best wishes to all the grandparents who are with us this weekend!
Working together in our faith community, we know that we can also be a kind of family to one another. We can listen and respond to each other as people of faith in a respectful and dynamic way. As Jesus listened, preached and healed, we can be that same presence for one another.
As we continue to “Courageously Live the Gospel”, let’s always work together as a community of dedicated believers.
And let us continue to pray for one another.
