Open Hearts

We continue to prepare for Christmas in this Holy Season of Advent. We pray together that the real spiritual meaning of this season is in our hearts. We pray that we may truly welcome Christ at Christmas!

We want to thank everyone for their generosity to the Special Collection for Retired Religious last weekend. This collection is an opportunity for us to show our love and appreciation for the retired sisters, brothers and priests of religious orders and congregations in our country, who have served the church over the years so well. They have been teachers, pastors, leaders and spiritual directors. They have served in hospitals and health facilities. They have brought the love of Christ to so many who are in need. They have courageously lived the Gospel in service to the church. May our support show our love and affection for them!

If you would still like to contribute, it is possible to do so. Drop your donation marked “For Retired Religious” in the collection basket or at the parish office.

Don’t forget our Advent Penance services this Monday, December 17 in the morning and evening. Please note the times listed below.

As we prepare for the Birth of Christ, may God give us open hearts to his divine love.

And let us continue to pray for one another.
