In the Hebrew Scriptures, the image of Wisdom is the personification of God. We know that when we think of what it means to be “wise”, as people of faith, it is to follow the ways of God. It is that kind of Wisdom that we pray for this weekend as we gather together. God always provides guidance and help in so many ways. Let’s pray that we will always be open to the true Wisdom that can only come from God alone.
This week, August 22, we will be celebrating the Feast of the Queenship of Mary. We know that Mary had a special wisdom and grace as she was the Mother of God . . . the Mother of Jesus. We think of her example and faith as we celebrate this special day on Wednesday. Perhaps you have visited the Shrine of Mary, Queen of the Universe, in Orlando. This devotion is based on the celebration of the Queenship of Mary. May her example, grace and wisdom guide us always.
And let us continue to pray for one another.
