The love of Christ is a powerful reality in the world. Many of us are aware of this, but perhaps we don’t think about it very often. Sometimes we are encouraged to “count our blessings”. This can help us to get through rough times when we try to put things in perspective.
Of course, the greatest blessing we can count is that of the love of Jesus in our lives. When we think of how much Jesus loves us, that He died for our sins and is willing to always forgive us, it can be overwhelming when it really hits home. But here’s the challenge for the Easter Season – now we must try to love others as Christ has loved us by trying to be that same kind of blessing in the lives of others. That’s a lot to strive for, but the grace of Jesus is always there to help us.
As Christ has been a blessing to us, so now we strive to be a blessing in His name to those around us.
Congratulations to all of our young people who received their First Holy Communion this weekend! The Sacrament of the Eucharist helps us all to be a blessing to one another!
And let us continue to pray for one another.
