Elementary Religious Education

Elementary Religous Education, or ERE for short, is our program to lead students in Kindergarten to 5th grade closer to Christ.  This program will also provide the necessary education in preparation for students needing sacraments.

ERE meets Wednesday evenings 6:15 - 7:30 pm and Sundays 10:45 am - 12:00 pm and in Español on Saturdays 10:00 - 11:30 am.

Please register your student in the Parish Office.

EDGE - Middle School

Edge is our parish’s Middle School Youth Ministry and Religious Education.  It is a place where Middle School students come together in a awesome, fun, and safe environment to journey together and learn about their Faith in Christ. On the Edge we discuss Church Teachings, Scriptures, and Middle School issues and how to live as a Catholic Christian in school.

EDGE meets Wednesday evenings 6:15-7:30 pm in the Life House. We gather with some games to make it a fun environment then we have a teaching, followed by teen-led small group time where the students are separated by grade and gender to best discuss all they have learned.  We then challenge each student to live out what they have learned that night. We have 3 teaching nights + 1 social night per month. EDGE is open to all parish youth grades 6-8.

A $50 registration fee helps cover costs; financial assistance is always available.

Life Teen - High School

Life Teen is our parish High School Youth Ministry Program.  It is where high school teens come together in a fun, welcoming, & safe place that is Christ centered.  Teens have the chance to build relationships with other teens that will last their entire lifetime.  They have opportunities to experience the Sacraments, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Praise & Worship, fellowship, trips, camps, rallies and so much more.

Life Teen is an international Catholic movement of the Holy Spirit that serves the Church and leads teens closer to Christ by providing resources and training that encourage vibrant Eucharistic celebrations and opportunities for teens to grow in their faith.

What do they do?

St. Cecelia Life Teen is based around our 4:00pm Sunday Mass.  We gather for Eucharist, then are sent out to witness our faith. Immediately following Mass we come together to share a meal in the Life House, which is followed by what is called a Life Night.  What is a LifeNight ...This is a weekly event that allows teens to open the scriptures and teachings of the Church. They will dive into understanding what it is that we believe and how they as a high school student can live that out on a daily basis.  These nights are guided by the Youth Ministry staff and the Core Team (a group of faithful adults that share their lives and testimony with these teens). During each month we discuss Church teachings or Scripture, dive into teen-relevant issues, and also just have social nights for the teens to have lots of fun and really create those lasting friendships. We finish each night by 8:00pm. The cost is $80/year.

Cool Stuff?

Life Teen also does several events/trips: Junior Senior Winter Retreat - just the upper classmen; Spring Retreat, Camping trips, March for Life trip - open to all the teens.  We do some awesome activities over the summer too: Summer Camps, Mission Trips(domestic and abroad), Steubenville Conferences, Camping, Whitewater Rafting, Life Teen Leadership Conference.
