Spiritual Journeys

As we journey through this catechetical year, may we be a powerful example of true Christian unity to a world in need. Created in God's image and likeness, may we also mirror his unconditional love and goodness.

You may pick up a Religious Education booklet in Larkin Center. In addition to other useful information, the booklet contains the schedule for the current year.

Religious Education

Elementary religious education (ERE) is designed to develop in children a foundation in our Catholic faith as a complement to the faith sharing already provided by parents and guardians.

ERE provides a comprehensive curriculum for children in kindergarten through 5th grade. Children in grades 6 through 8 attend EDGE on Wednesday evenings. Both programs seek to present knowledge and practical applications of our Catholic faith in a manner appropriate to the age and readiness of the child at each grade level.

We offer a choice of sessions for Sunday morning on a space-available basis: Session A is 8:00 - 9:15 AM and Session B is 11:00 AM - 12:15 PM. The schedule allows students to attend the 9:30 AM Mass with their families before or after they attend class. ERE is not a substitute for Sunday Mass, as both are vital to a child's faith development.

ERE runs concurrent with the school year and with a similar holiday schedule. A registration fee of $45.00 helps cover the cost of books and materials; financial help is available.
